Peanut Butter?
I love peanut butter, but have been told that its too fatty. Found an article for you peanut butter lovers that may change the way runners look at it.

Thanks for sharing. It's interesting to find out that peanut butter helps in providing energy to runners. This helps in uplifting the bad reputation of peanut butter because of its fatty contents. It may help to eat it in moderation on an every other day diet as this leads to a healthier lifestyle.

Re: Peanut Butter?
I thought the reduced fat version was a healthier alternative until I saw on the Doctors TV show today...The reduced version contains a teaspoon of sugar for every tablespoon of peanut better. I'm definitely ditching my reduced fat jars! While there's about 20 calories less per serving than the regular version of peanut butter, I'd rather run for a few more minutes than ingest all that sugar.

Peanut butter is a great fuel for pre-race meals. Even during races depending on your sport and your tolerance for food during exercise.

Yes, it's on the higher end of fat and calories but, like everything else if used in moderation it a good addition to your meal planning.

I personally use it on pre-race meals such as bagel or apple. Again it depends on the sport and time of event. As a Nutritionist, I typically recommend it to athletes in their diet planning.

Re: Peanut Butter?
Fat is unhealthy if consumed high. More than 50% of peanut butter contains fat. Only 20% is saturated fat , the rest are mono and poly unsaturated fat. It has health benefits too but I don't recommend to eat much.
