Compression Kit

Does anyone buy into this compression kit hype? I have been running in a pair of compression tights for about four weeks now and I honestly think that the recovery properties of the tights are just an illusion cooked up by clever marketing departments and the actual perceived improved recovery is just because I am getting fitter and more conditioned.
